Following their competition to find Cornwall’s budding young journalists, Spaceport Cornwall have now selected their 2022 Launch Crew! 

The competition called for applications under five categories - video producing, podcasting, social media management, reporting and journalism.

We are so proud of Rosie, Year 9, who has been selected to be trained as a media crew member.

Tasked with documenting the historic road to the first ever launch from UK soil this summer, Rosie and the team will showcase the opportunities that the launch will bring to Cornwall and share the key moments and behind the scenes action in the lead up to lift off.

Attending the finalists' event held recently at Royal Cornwall Museum, Rosie was presented with prizes and had many pictures taken! 

Rosie commented "it was a super fun day meeting the incredibly talented people in the crew". 

Ms Copley, Teacher of English and film studies said " We are so proud of Rosie; she crafted a brilliant newspaper article as her winning entry and she worked hard with the film club team to produce other highly commended entries too. She is an inspiration!"
