Our Year 10 students had a very busy last week of term experiencing the world of work!

Working with Cornwall Education Business Partnership, HDS students prepared themselves earlier this term by developing their Health and Safety knowledge and contacting employers, before spending the week at their chosen placement.

During the week, students have been carrying out a wide variety of tasks and duties within their workplace, (more or less as would an employee). With the emphasis being on the learning aspects of the experience, our students have been completing their log books each day, and reports from staff who have visited them during the week are that ‘they are having a great time!’.

We look forward to welcoming Year 10 back into school after the Easter break, and hearing all about their experiences!
