Our newly formed Greenpower team has been working on the Kit car since September and finally they had the opportunity to race at a local event in Cornwall.  

On a sunny Wednesday the team made their way to Predannck Airfield, on the Lizard, to race against schools from across the southwest.  As with all engineering projects there were some final tweaks required before the race, but the team worked exceptionally well to get everything done on time. 

Swift teamwork after the practice lap ensured they were ready to race on time. Sam was the first driver and started from the grid, followed by Kit. The 90 minute endurance race unfortunately came to a halt as the team neared the 60 minute point.  

The race was a brilliant experience for the team, and they have picked up lots of ideas of how to improve their car for next year. The team are now looking forward to making those improvements so that the car is more competitive for next years race. Well done team HDS.
