December saw the return of our annual Christmas Concert. It was great to see our students showcasing their well rehearsed performances to their peers.  

The audience was treated to brilliant performances from our range of different ensembles who filled the room with some festive classics.  This year’s concert featured the widest range of HDS Music ensembles to date with 16 separate acts from 12 individual ensembles!

Student, Dmitri, performed a fantastic solo performance on his saxophone, showing off just how much his skills on this instrument have developed over the years.  To stand up in front of an audience takes courage and to stand up alone without the support of your band mates is something to be very proud of indeed.  

The show came to a close with school favourite ‘Band of Fiasco’ who closed with the Christmas hit ‘I Wish It Could be Christmas Everyday’ by Wizard.

It was a wonderful end of year Christmas treat and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it.  Students were heard still humming Christmas tunes as they filed out of the school gates at the end of the day.
